Meet the team

Nick Woodward qualified from Edinburgh in 2000 and joined the practice in 2007. He has worked in Bristol and abroad (New Zealand and Australia). He has an interest in musculoskeletal medicine, dermatology and the training of doctors. He is married with 2 boys and enjoys his free time cycling, running and travelling.

I graduated from Liverpool Medical School in 2004 and then did post-graduate training in General Practice in the Wales Deanery. I became a Member of the Royal College of GPs, in 2008. Within the surgery I am the lead for information technology and medicines management. I teach Bristol University Medical Students and train other doctors to become GPs. I look after the residents of Kingfisher Lodge (the nursing home in Saltford). Outside of work I enjoy time with my family and attempt to skateboard!

I qualified from Bristol Univerity in 1992 and, after completing my GP training, I went to work with Medecins sans Frontieres in China and Colombia. Subsequently, I have been working in practices in Bristol prior to arriving in Keynsham. Most recently I have been a GP partner in Knowle in Bristol for the 7 years preceding my appointment at St Augustine’s. I am interested in all areas of medicine and enjoy working within a Primary Healthcare Team, but in particular have good experience in Paediatrics, Family planning and treatment of alcohol and drug misuse. I am also a GP trainer and enjoy mentoring and teaching trainee GPs. I live in Chew Valley with my husband and 2 young children and enjoy spending time with my family, including going for walks and dancing around the kitchen with them!

I graduated from Southampton University in 2011 after a period of teaching and travelling in Southern Africa. I completed my junior doctor training in Bournemouth before relocating to Bristol in 2016 whereupon I joined St Augustine’s surgery. I have always loved being a GP and find the continuity and variety that family medicine provides immensely rewarding. It is a pleasure and a privilege to see life from the beginning right through to the end, and to be able to help people with the challenges of in between! I enjoy juggling being a mum, wife, sister, daughter and colleague and when not at work can be found dancing around the kitchen with my 2 girls, running, swimming or playing tennis.
