You can get your test results online without having to visit the surgery.
How to get test results
For test results you can contact the Receptionists on 0117 986 2343 between 10am - 2pm. You can also check your results through your online access account or the NHS app.
Please note that we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. This means that we can only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given permission or are not capable of understanding them.
If your test was requested by the hospital then you will need to contact the consultant’s secretary for the results.
How long does it take to get my test results?
Typical wait times for results:
- Blood test – 1 week
- Urine specimen – 1 week
- Sexual health swabs – 3 weeks
- Stool sample – 2 weeks
- Swab – 1 week
- Mycology – 1 week
- X-rays – 2 weeks
- Samples taken at minor surgery – 4 weeks
It is your responsibility to contact us for your tests results though, so please do not assume that results are normal if you do not hear from us.
